Day 1: Hanoi – arrival (-/-/D)

Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel to check in. In the afternoon, enjoy a half day city tour to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple , and a cyclo ride to visit the Old Quarter. Ovenight in Hanoi .
Day 2: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake (B/L/D)

Visit the Ethnology Museum in Thai Nguyen before continuing to Babe Lake – a wonderful drive offering beautiful vistas of the countryside. Overnight at Cong Quynh Hotel or similar.
Day 3: Ba Be Lakes (B/L/D)

Today, you wil enjoy a tranquil boat ride on Nang river to Babe Lakes to discover Ba Be National Park with stops along the way to visit Puong Cave and Dang De Dau Waterfall. After a picnic lunch, continue your boat ride to Tay village. Visit the village and share the daily activities with the Tay people. Dinner and overnight in the village (stilt house accommodation).
Day 4: Ba Be Lake – Pacbo – Cao Bang (B/L/D)

Depart for Cao Bang. On the zigzag road, you can admire spectacular mountain landscape with terraced rice fields and minority ethnic villages dotting the hillsides. After lunch in Cao Bang, drive to Pac Bo to visit the grotto where President Ho Chi Minh once lived. Overnight at Duc Trung or Huong Tom Hotel .
Day 5: Nguom Ngao Cave – Bangioc Waterfall - cao bang (B/L/D)

Visit Nguom Ngao Cave , one of the best caves in the North-East of Vietnam , then continue onwards to Ban Gioc warterfall on the Vietnam-China border. Picnic lunch, then return to Cao Bang. Overnight at Duc Trung Hotel or Huong Tom Hotel .
Day 6: Cao Bang – Lang Son (B/L/D)

Breakfast, then drive to Lang Son to visit the Ky Lua market as well as sites of local legend and the Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh Pagodas situated in grottoes. Overnight at Ngoc Mai Hotel.
Day 7: Lang Son – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Depart for Halong Bay and experience an overnight trip on a traditional wooden junk. Enjoy the boat ride wending your way through the mystical limestone casts jutting from the sea. Lunch and dinner with fresh seafood on board. Swimming during Summer. Overnight on board.
Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L/D)

After breakfast on board, the boat will continue to explore the bay. Take a few last breathtaking hours cruising this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Disembark at around 1000 hrs and return to Hanoi . In the evening, enjoy a show of the traditional art of Water Puppetry. Overnight in Hanoi .
Day 9: Hanoi – departure (B/-/-)
